AuPh,While I can understand why YOU really liked LOTR (I liked parts of it), that still has nothing to do with the original post.
KK should not be remade, just as Stalag 17, Gone with the Wind, Intolerance, Modern Times, Rashomon, Dr. Strangelove, etc...should not be remade.
Why is Hollywood incapable of doing anything ORIGINAL????????
The art of coming up with a story and interesting characters is a dead art in Tinseltown.
As much as I love "Star Wars", I really dislike George Lucas. He's a terrible director, brutal writer, and has no concept of what character development is all about. CGI does not make one a great filmmaker.
