Well, I had no idea just how prophetic my comments in the earlier thread about the confusion over the naming convention for the new frame-grid tube would be.
My pair finally arrived today from TubeStore. Unfortunately, they sent me ECC83 tubes instead of E83CC tubes. A quick call to Canada and the correct tubes will go out today. So, it's going to be a few more days before I can hear the new frame-grid tubes. A bit bummed, but in the grander scheme of life this isn't even a bump in the road.
The fella I talked to at TubeStore was really high on these ... which only serves to stoke my anticipation.
