RE: My review of the new JJ frame grid E83CC tube

I FOUND THIS REVIEW FROM A CUSTOMER:

"This is a great tube! As some others have already stated.....it's brighter and more aggressive than JJ's standard ECC83S is. I consider it a tuning option though....if you want BRIGHT get this tube....if you want middle of the road get the ECC83S, if you want less bright get the ECC83S gold pin. I have used JJ preamp tubes for many years in many different amps. I think they are great tubes despite what you might read on some online forums. Out of 20+ preamp tubes I have bought I have had only 2 that have failed quickly. One was an ECC83S and one was a EF806. Despite this I still use 90% JJ tubes in my personal amps and amps I build. You need to realize...almost all the other tubes on the market are really just Russian tubes that are branded as different brands. They are really nothing like the tubes they say they are on the label. JJ tubes are made at a totally different factory in Slovakia. Ignore the comments on the forums....try them for yourself and see! They really are great tubes, follow my guide for the tone you seek.....GOLD PIN ECC83S=mellow tone, ECC83S neutral tone, E83CC= bright tone."
