RE: My review of the new JJ frame grid E83CC tube

I have to agree with you. JJ has a real winner on its hands!

My pair finally showed up today. I installed them in the phono section of my CAT SL1. The rest of my system details are in my profile. These E83CC replaced a pair of Philips 12AX7 that had been my reference in that spot. Long term performance is obviously TBD, but I'm pretty sure the Philips are out of a job. And the JJs are literally one-tenth the price of a phono-grade NOS Philips 12AX7.

I think I'll be ordering more.
