RE: My review of the new JJ frame grid E83CC tube

Although an old post, I think the JJ E83CC is the best new tube I heard in a home audio amp. The best NOS 12AX7 type I heard are GE 7025 short plate and the JJ sounds identical. The JJ way outperforms NOS Mullard 12AX7 long plate and RCA 12AX7 long plate. This is a $29 tube and NOS Mullard are at least $150.

If you have an average amp and speakers you will not hear what this tube can perform.
