No Dedup software.
Right now, I have a row in my sql server database for every music file found in any of my drives (along with it's drive name, folder path, etc)
Some music files are duplicated among these drives however- multiple copies of the same music file.
Since all the files and paths are recorded in a Sql db I can now write a query to retrieve one single path location for each particular music file even if some of the music files are duplicated in multiple places. Which path I ultimately choose for any particular music file doesn't really matter, just need to get one copy of each - no duplicates.
Then with the results of that query I can write some powershell code to copy unduplicated music files into one folder heirarchy.
