RE: Not trying to beat up on you

Yes I think already eating an elephant.

First bite was to make an inventory of all the files. I have that now.

Second bite will be to create master folder physically containing deduped copy of all my music files. That will be next task, again using powershell to do the work.

Last bite will be to use a "dedicated" commercial or open source music file organizer that can reference the tags embedded in each file in that master folder, and create a music based folder hierarchy, and physically move or copy all the files into that heirarchy.

I could use powershell to do that last bite also, it can read the music based metadata in each file, I already tested that. But I think not worth the work. We'll see.
