yes after the inventory things are looking much more hopeful. No substitute for accurate data I guess!
Assuming I performed the division correctly to convert the file sizes in bytes to TBs...
If my inventory processing is correct and there are only 1.5 or so total TBs after de-duping, I will just wipe one of my old drives that I have hanging around and use that for the first try at copying the files into a deduped repository.
So next step is to write the powershell code to use the database data to programmatically copy files from the various local drives into a target drive.
Should only be 20-50 lines of powershell code depending on how sohpisticated I want to be with the error handling, logging, input parameters, etc.
